The first ever Processing Methods Bootcamp!

We held the inaugural Processing Methods Bootcamp at Tamborine Mt Coffee Plantation (TMCP) in October 2019. We had a star-studded line up of students who truly embraced our vision - to learn, share and collaborate with one another.

Students hand-picked 100kg of Red Bourbon cherries which were divided into 8 lots for processing. We produced four lots of Fundamental Series (traditional methods) and four lots of Innovation Series (inspired by trends including science from the wine industry).

The processed coffees were assessed at public cupping events across Australia. Incredibly, TMCP’s original score of 76 points turned into an average of 85 points.
